Work Environment
Leading the way in creating breakthrough wireless data products is a constant challenge. Sierra Wireless attracts people who are innovators looking to challenge themselves. Here, you'll work in small teams creating real products for real-world wireless data applications. You and your team will have a good deal of freedom in making the decisions that make our products better - and get them to market quickly. The pace is fast, the energy is focused, but our people are friendly and the dress code is casual. We work hard, but we also take time to play and relax. At Sierra Wireless you can:
- Work out in the on-site fitness facility which has weights, treadmills, stair machines, and ping-pong and foosball tables.
- Get to know other employees in the on-site cafeteria or at corporate events for employees and families, including our anniversary party and Holiday party for adults and kids.
In addition, we have a strong commitment to ongoing communication and dialogue through our e-newsletter, AirWaves, our quarterly company-wide meetings and the Sierra Intranet.
Career Development
Sierra Wireless recognizes that our success in developing products depends on our success in developing people - and in giving them opportunities to grow on the job. We support managers and employees in working together to identify training and education and internal career opportunities that benefit both Sierra Wireless and an individual's career.
Community Commitment
Sierra Wireless takes corporate citizenship seriously. We actively participate in the annual United Way campaign and support a number of other local charitable efforts and educational and industry programs. Sierra Wireless is the title sponsor of the Sierra Wireless Whistler Cup, an international junior Alpine skiing competition held annually at Whistler. We’re also a corporate sponsor of Science World, a non-profit community resource that promotes exploration of the arts, sciences and technology. For more information click
